Marcin Grądzki works in a team responsible for the project: "Development of Urban Adaptation Plans for cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants in Poland" and is one of the speakers at the congress.
Mr Marcin Grądzki works as senior specialist in the Department of Sustainable Development and International Cooperation in the Polish Ministry of the Environment since 2012. His work began during the formation of the first drafts of the polish National Adaptation Strategy, final document was accepted at the end of 2013. Currently he works in a team responsible for the coordination of the climate change adaptation policy implementation in Poland, with tasks such as cooperation at the national, regional and local level in the area of adaptation to climate change and implementation of the Polish flagship adaptation project – "Development of Urban Adaptation Plans for cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants in Poland".
Within the framework of international cooperation he works as Polish National Reference Centre for Climate Change Impacts, Vulnerability and Adaptation in European Environment Agency and represents Poland in different working groups such as Urban Agenda for the EU. He works as national contact person for United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification. Since the beginning of the 'Climate Change Adaptation Platform' in Council of the Baltic Sea States he represents Poland and was a chair of the Group under Polish presidency in Council.
