Nina Kirchner, Associate Professor of Glaciology
Nina Kirchner is Director of Research at the Bolin Centre for Climate Research, and Associate professor of Glaciology, at Stockholm university. Her research focuses on the interaction of ice sheets and glaciers with the polar oceans, both in the Arctic and the Antarctic.
Nina is, among others, involved in projects that are supported by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation (KAW), the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF), and the Swedish Foundation for International Cooperation in Research and Higher Education (STINT). Especially withinh the SSF project, Ninas focus has recently shifted also to the Baltic Sea.
